LIVED EXPERIENCE

BECAUSE THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN THERE UNDERSTAND

REAL STORIES.
REAL UNDERSTANDING.

AT IT’S NEVER YOU, LIVED EXPERIENCE IS AT THE HEART OF EVERYTHING WE DO.

Our work is shaped by parents and families who have faced a seriously ill child’s diagnosis and understand the emotional, practical and financial impact this journey can bring.

We believe that no one understands this experience better than those who have lived it. Their insight helps us design meaningful support, raise awareness and advocate for change so that families feel heard, supported and less alone.

These experiences offer comfort, connection and hope to others who may be at the beginning of their journey. They also help professionals, policymakers and the wider community better understand what families truly go through.

Every story is unique but many parents tell us the same thing, hearing from someone who has been there can make an overwhelming situation feel a little more manageable.

LEARNING TO LIVE ONE DAY AT A TIME

NAVIGATING UNCERTAINTY WITH COURAGE AND COMMUNITY

“Our daughter’s diagnosis came as a complete shock. In those early days, everything felt uncertain and overwhelming. We quickly realised how important it was to find trusted information and emotional support. Hearing other families’ experiences gave us hope and helped us feel more prepared for what lay ahead. Today, we focus on staying positive and supporting others who are just starting their journey.”

FINDING STRENGTH IN THE UNEXPECTED

A PARENT’S JOURNEY THROUGH DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT AND HOPE

“When our son was diagnosed, our world changed overnight. We felt overwhelmed, scared and unsure where to turn. Connecting with other parents who had been through this helped us feel less alone and gave us the strength to keep going. The journey hasn’t been easy, but we’ve learned to take each day as it comes and celebrate every small win. Support from people who truly understand has made all the difference.”
